The following are the aims and objectives of the Centre:

• To present an enabling condition for development of manpower and skills.
• To train apprentices that will be self-reliant and self-sustaining.
• To establish a loan scheme where qualified apprentices could borrow money and start their own businesses.
• To provide tools and equipment loan bank.
• To expose modern technological methods to skilled craftsmen and artisans through workshops and seminars.
• To establish equipment/tools, machines adaptation centre.
• To adopt design, develop, construct and fabricate machines and equipment.
• To establish functional production industrial workshops to eventually sustain the institution.
• To make it possible for students of tertiary institutions namely, Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT), Institute of Management and Technology (IMT), GO University, etc to develop and produce their practical course work.
• To give young graduates of engineering technology opportunity of internship as a solid background for sound engineering foundation.
• To expose the centre to international standard.
